Hello, I am Joia Jefferson Nuri,
an ICF-certified Executive Leadership and Public Speaking Coach
.

I’m a leadership coach empowering women of color to silence their harsh inner critic—because I’ve been there. On paper, my career looks impressive: I was one of the first women hired by NBC News as a technician, the first Black woman to serve as Technical Director for CBS Evening News and Face the Nation, and a senior producer for NPR, PBS affiliates, and C-SPAN. But behind the scenes, self-doubt and inner criticism overshadowed my success. I played small, never feeling good enough, and struggled to enjoy my achievements.

Though I had loving parents, early life experiences shaped my self-worth. It took years to understand how my inner critic controlled me—and even longer to overcome it.

Today, I live with peace and confidence, unshackled by self-imposed limits. I’ve done the work, and I’m here to help others do it faster.

I do this work because I’ve lived it.
